Exploring the Milwaukee Public Market

Milwaukee Public Market – 400 N Water St, Milwaukee, WI

One thing I love about Wisconsin is it’s vast collection of artisan products. There’s a multitude of local beers, cheeses, bread, meats, and candies just to name a few. The perfect place to sample much of what Wisconsin has to offer is the Milwaukee Public Market. I’m a sucker for a good market, one of my favorites being Pike’s Place in Seattle, Washington. Now I have to add the Milwaukee Public Market to that list. The market is home to a wide range of vendors, specializing in everything from fresh fish to hand dipped chocolates. Here’s a list of who and what you’ll find inside. If you land in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I definitely suggest popping in to get all the foodie souvenirs you could ever need. Check out these pictures from my visit!

I had to taste Wisconsin’s famous Spotted Cow beer from New Glarus Brewing Co. I don’t even like beer and I was pleasantly surprised at the satisfying taste.
St. Paul’s Fish Company offers fresh fish and seafood.
You can also choose to dine in for a prepared meal.

Kehr’s Candies has been specializing in gourmet candy for over 78 years! They’re most famous for their hand-dipped chocolates, but I’m a fruity sweets kind of girl.
Kehr’s also has a nice ice cream selection if you want to pass on the candy.
The market has everything you need to satisfy your sweet tooth.
John & Anne Nehring of Nehring’s Family Market supply this beautiful fruit among other things such as gourmet meats, signature deli items, and specialty foods.

I was clearly pleased with all the specialty items I was finding.
At Margarita Paradise, you can sit and have a drink and feast on Mexican dishes from this family owned restaurant. Tequila is my favorite drink, but I decided on beer instead (’cause Wisconsin, duh).
